This years Gratitude Walk and Run was a great success raising over $10,000 for our nursing service. 208 people registered this year, with some running the new 7km course, others choosing to do the 4 km walk along the path to the river, while others took the option of a 1km grateful stroll around, inside the grounds.
Glorious sunshine, a good variety of Market stalls, massages, face painting, jumping castles, coffee, food and live music by the Rock and Roll Boys made for a most enjoyable Sunday morning.
The costumes were again outstanding (see the image galleries below) and it was lovely to see the effort put in by the teams attending, as well as the individual entries.
Prize Winners
- Katie Spratt – Winner of the Gympie Times Prize – Highest Fundraiser Overall – Raising a massive $2160 “Superstar”
- Cr.Dan Stewart – Inaugural Winner of the “Sue Turner” Memorial Trophy for the first across the line – winner of the 7km run.
- Chilli Roberts – Winner of the “Paige” Memorial Trophy for Highest Fundraiser Child (Also won this trophy last year).
- Ray Currie – Winner of the “Flo Spratt” Memorial Trophy for Highest Fundraiser Adult

Thank you to everyone, young and old who participated in this year’s Little Haven Gratitude Walk. It was lovely to see the growing number of families walking in memory and gratitude for their loved ones this year. With numbers up 37% on the 2018 walk the event gets bigger each year.
